Manifestations 2025: the most exciting festival during Dutch Design Week
From 18 to 26 October, Manifestations is once again the inspiring hub of art, design, innovation and technology during Dutch Design Week (DDW) in Eindhoven. This year, with the theme "Happy End?", Manifestations once again promises to push the boundaries of thought and imagination. It is the place where art and technology uniquely come together and where the adventure of DDW begins for many.
Manifestations is tipped by VPRO as the number one place to get your DDW jitters for good reason: "A socially critical fair. The place to get DDW jitters and start your festival adventure." Last year, Manifestations attracted a whopping 35,000 visitors. This year too, we surprise visitors with an unprecedentedly wide range of artworks and installations that excite, challenge and inspire. Everyone is welcome here, from young to old, to come and learn about the future.
Springboard for leading talent
Manifestations provides a platform for more than 50 mostly young, recently graduated artists. Their work, ranging from robotics to (bio-)design and e-fashion, is innovative and groundbreaking. The festival is an important springboard for this talent. Scouts from (international) festivals and museums therefore see Manifestations as the place to discover new talent.
With a focus on the impact of innovation and technology, Manifestations offers not only a sneak preview of the future, but also a critical look at the challenges it poses. The artists depict different future scenarios, challenging us to think about how technology can contribute to a more social and sustainable world.
Activities and location
Manifestations is again free to enter this year and takes place on the 8th floor of the Veemgebouw at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. There is a separate entrance for people in wheelchairs. The festival offers a rich mix of exhibitions, performances, meet-ups, and workshops for young and old. The first projects have already been confirmed and promise to be another spectacle.
