faq

Accessible for the disabled, blind and visually impaired and wheelchairs (Wheelchair via lift at rear of building: ring road/north side). Catering facilities on the ground floor and all around.

Also, read especially below how to get there. We ask not to smoke at the entrance, due to accessibility for people with lung disease. Beware of epilepsy if you have sensitivity to flashes. There is low radiation, no fluorescent light. And if you have back pain: there are places to sit.

Do you have children with you? We have nature T-shirt stamping workshops almost daily, especially bring your own (children's) T-shirt, or bag, or dress or else. Cotton goes best.
And there are many artworks suitable for children.
Tours for the visually impaired on request. More background information on the artists also on request, or you can ask the artist on the spot, who are present 90% of the time.

The Veem falls into the environmental zone, so beware of older diesels.

At the entrance are 5 steps, at the back entrance north side) none: there is a lift there and only 1 small threshold.

We ventilate the space continuously, but the last weekend is so busy that if you can't stand crowds, avoid the last weekend and come nice during the week, avoiding rush hour between 1pm and 4pm. So come between 11am and 1pm or after 4pm, we specially open longer (until about 6:30pm).

There is a train station nearby (Strijp S), rental bikes, shared cars and design rides (free with wristband: stop Ketelhuisplein), see https://ddw.nl/plan-your-visit/reachability.
Strijp-S is the old Philips site (formerly known as: The Forbidden City: old industrial heritage), where you can stroll around, there is a lot to do and see during DDW, and plenty of food and beverage outlets. It is the area in the many streets well around the Ketelhuisplein.

Note that the toilet is on the ground floor, behind the double lifts.

Yes, of course! Possibly via the disabled lift at the back of the building. At the DDW INFO on the square next to the Veem they know more.

Various (online) tours are organised, for the blind, visually impaired, secondary and primary schools, the elderly, companies and VIP packages.

Register quickly!

On Google Maps, you can also type in Manifestations and you'll come out just right.

VEEM
Torenallee 100, 5617 BE, Eindhoven

By train directly to Strijp-S.
Bike rental e.g. diagonally opposite the Klokgebouw. And on Fuutlaan next to the station.

All DDW locations are easily accessible by bicycle.

Another option is GoSharing e-scooter rentals, or designer rides.

Other options can be found here: ddw.co.uk reachability

All days are fun! We are open daily between 11am-6:30pm.

Weekends are the busiest, during the week there are many school tours and some artists take a walk themselves. The second weekend is the busiest and short queues can form between 2pm and 5pm. The artists are still the "freshest" the first weekend.

Manifestations is free, but for the rest: please do share your ticket, or explore how you can help each other further.

Press: Don't forget to visit Manifestations on Wednesday 16h for the Young Talent Award.

Free! But voluntary donation always welcome

Art funds are often 6x oversubscribed, we have now applied for a relatively low amount per fund, to be eligible to get something.

These contributions are not covering. We therefore charge a small fee for a student tour. This tour is super fun to do: you will be guided through the exhibition.

Besides: it is also good to support artists and arts initiatives, in America they already do that more than here: it is tax-deductible (cultural anbi: if you donate your profits, you get 50% back from the Tax Office).

Besides: we all need inspiration and culture. What else do we have? Shopping Sundays and commercial television?

If you already have everything, feel free to make a donation to an artist individually, adopt as Angel, or support the Violavirus Foundation.

This can be done on site or via www.violavirus.nl/anbi

There is an imbalance in the world between technology that develops commercially, with technology that develops for the purpose of a better world, one with "sweeter technology" aka TECH FOR GOOD; the latter we encourage.

Yes, Share them especially online. People with really good cameras (or new phones): please share daily via e.g. WeTransfer to organisation at manifestations.co.uk and on your Facebook / Instagram, without logos on the photos, though we do mention the credits, for non-profit use.

Good! Let us know right away and we'll fix it: organisation at manifestations.co.uk
You might even want to sign up as volunteer? That way we can avoid more mistakes.
